Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store hiring only 4 individuals. Total sales for that year amounted to about $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various components. Throughout 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty workers and their annual sales volume had increased to 330 thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is among the leading worldwide producers in the material handling business.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities. During the last sixty years, the material handling business has matured into a highly sophisticated area and Cascade has proudly performed a part in this improvement. Cascade currently continues to develop as the best provider of forklift accessories and various associated products. The company feels assured in their capability to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding customer's requirements in the future and remaining competitive within the global market.

Throughout the 1950's, Cascade started to manufacture, design, and advertise its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was built in the year 1956, to accommodate all of the plant operations and offices in Portland, Oregon, which continues to be the company's current center of operations. After 15 years of business, total staff reached 180 employees and sales had reached nearly two million three hundred thousand dollars.

In the year 1959 in Springfield, Peoria the next production plant was built. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry while the business recognized interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production facilities throughout the U.S. with places in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Peoria. Cascade products are made internationally because of lots of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is made to be the essential customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to acquiring 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide best in forks.
